Lee Dong Hwi and Han Ji Eun’s film “MORA” (working title) has unveiled its poster!
“MORA” is a comedy about a family facing financial challenges. It follows Sun Woo (Lee Dong Hwi), who is excited to marry his longtime friend. However, when his father suffers a brain hemorrhage, the family is burdened with rising medical bills and must find a way to cover the costs.
“MORA” was featured in the Korean Cinema section at the 24th Jeonju International Film Festival. The film has been praised for its talented cast, including Lee Dong Hwi and Han Ji Eun, and its realistic, heartwarming story. Director Kim Jin Tae’s thoughtful exploration of societal issues has also been commended.
Lee Dong Hwi stars as Sun Woo, a college lecturer who aspires to be an architect and is preparing to marry his partner Woo Jung (Han Ji Eun). He portrays Sun Woo as an ordinary man dealing with an unexpected personal crisis while striving for a happy future with realistic emotional depth.
Han Ji Eun plays Woo Jung, Sun Woo’s supportive fiancée. As a barista who dreams of a happy marriage, Woo Jung faces her own challenges when Sun Woo encounters a crisis. Han Ji Eun skillfully shows Woo Jung’s deep emotional complexity beneath her bright and lovable exterior.
The first poster for the film grabs attention with its witty visuals and unexpected charm. It shows Sun Woo and Woo Jung, a couple dreaming of a happy marriage, dancing a waltz on a wedding cake. Their unstable pose and the tilting house-shaped candle hint at the challenges they will face, sparking curiosity.
The tagline, “I thought life was like a dream,” adds to the anticipation by highlighting the film’s relatable portrayal of real-life struggles.
“MORA” is set to hit theaters in October. Stay tuned for more updates!
