Upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “The Fiery Priest 2” has unveiled new stills featuring the supporting cast!
SBS’s “The Fiery Priest,” which first aired in 2019 and recorded a peak viewership rating of 22.0 percent, is about a Catholic priest with anger management issues and a cowardly detective as they work together to solve a murder case. Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee, Kim Sung Kyun, and more from Season 1 will be reprising their roles in the upcoming season.
In Season 2, Kim Won Hae, Go Kyu Pil, Ahn Chang Hwan, Baek Ji Won, Jeon Seong Woo, Yang Hyun Min, Lee Dae Yeon, Seo Bum June, Oh Man Seok, and Choi Soo Min will shine as supporting characters, maintaining the series’ reputation for strong performances.
The show promises an exciting blend of comedy and conflict, thanks to its talented cast. Returning actors will showcase their versatility, while newcomers will introduce unique characters, raising expectations for a thrilling season.
The returning members of Gudam—Kim Won Hae, Go Kyu Pil, Ahn Chang Hwan, Baek Ji Won, and Jeon Seong Woo—bring upgraded skills and plenty of energy to Season 2.
Kim Won Hae plays Go Dok Seong, a character formerly known as Gozhaev in Season 1. After turning his life around, he passed a naturalization exam and changed his name. He now runs four restaurants in Busan. Go Kyu Pil portrays Oh Yo Han, who has become a salary-based convenience store owner through hard work and discovers new abilities related to his improved hearing.
Ahn Chang Hwan plays Ssong Sak, the top delivery person at a Chinese restaurant and the leader of local delivery workers. His Korean language skills have greatly improved, but when faced with a crisis, his old way of speaking returns, adding humor to the situation.
Baek Ji Won portrays Sister Kim In Kyung at Gudam Catholic Church. Strong in her beliefs and caring, she follows Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil) to Busan, where she encounters a world even harsher than Gudam and joins him on a covert mission.
Jeon Seong Woo plays Father Han Sung Kyu, the head priest at Gudam Catholic Church. After suffering a head injury five years ago, he struggles with anger management issues stemming from misplaced confidence.
Season 2 introduces new characters—Yang Hyun Min, Lee Dae Yeon, Seo Bum June, Oh Man Seok, and Choi Soo Min—who bring fresh chemistry and unique interactions as they become closely involved with Kim Hae Il in Busan.
Yang Hyun Min plays Boss Park, the head of the Yongsa gang tied to a drug cartel. He becomes entangled with drug organization founder Kim Hong Sik (Sung Joon) from Laos and prosecutor Nam Doo Heon (Seo Hyun Woo) from the Busan Southern District Prosecutor’s Office. Together, they confront Kim Hae Il, who is determined to take down the cartel.
Lee Dae Yeon’s character Lee Woong Seok is the principal of a seminary in the Busan Archdiocese and a strict leader. He often clashes with the unpredictable Kim Hae Il, creating a striking contrast between them.
Seo Bum June plays Chae Do Woo, a seventh-year seminarian about to be ordained. His strong sense of justice often leads him into trouble, but as he spends time with Kim Hae Il, who rescues him from danger, he begins to change.
Oh Man Seok portrays Father Hong, the head priest at Uma Catholic Church. A friendly figure, he speaks with a charming Busan dialect and brings comfort with his warm personality. Choi Soo Min plays Sister Kang, a former children’s song singer known for her vibrant enthusiasm, adding a lighthearted touch.

“The Fiery Priest 2” is set to premiere on November 8 at 10 p.m. KST.
