tvN’s upcoming drama “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” has shared a sneak peek of Kim Tae Ri’s character!
Based on a popular webtoon, the drama is directed by Jung Ji In, known for “The Red Sleeve.” Set in the 1950s, shortly after the Korean War, the series follows Jeong Nyeon (Kim Tae Ri), a young vocal prodigy who dreams of becoming a top traditional theater actor. The show explores Jeong Nyeon’s journey through competition, teamwork, and personal growth amid the era’s poverty and romance.
New stills have been released of Kim Tae Ri in her role as Yoon Jeong Nyeon. With a short bob haircut that gives her a youthful appearance and dressed in a shabby modernized hanbok, Kim Tae Ri has fully transformed into her latest role.
Yoon Jeong Nyeon is a naturally talented singer. The drama will explore the story of an all-female Gukguek-dan, a Korean classical opera ensemble.
“Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born” premieres on October 12 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
