Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Hye Yoon were recently honored at the 6th Newsis Hallyu Expo (2024 Newsis K-Expo), receiving the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Award and National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee’s Chairman Award, respectively.
Queen of Tears star Kim Soo Hyun expressed his gratitude for the recognition, saying, “I’ve been receiving so much love for a great project this year, and it’s such an honor to receive this prestigious award as well,” adding, “I am deeply grateful to everyone who has loved ‘Queen of Tears.’ I will always strive to show my best acting.”
Lovely Runner talent Kim Hye Yoon shared similar sentiments, stating, “It’s an honor just to be part of a popular drama, and I’m grateful to receive such a meaningful award.” She went on, “I feel like I’m here representing the entire Lovely Runner team. Thank you to everyone who helped create the show and to the viewers who loved it. I will continue to work hard to spread Korean films and dramas around the world.”
Reflecting on his first Asia tour in a decade, Kim Soo Hyun shared a memorable moment: “During the Asia tour, I was singing passionately in front of the fans. The cheers were so loud that they filled my in-ear monitors through the microphone, which was a really thrilling yet overwhelming experience.”
Kim Hye Yoon also reflected on a significant moment from her first overseas fan meeting this year: “Honestly, just the fact that I was going abroad to meet fans for the first time felt unreal. The moment I first met the overseas fans is something I’ll never forget.”
