tvN’s latest drama “Serendipity’s Embrace” has released exciting previews ahead of its second episode!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Serendipity’s Embrace” tells the story of young people finding true love and fulfilling their dreams after accidentally running into their first love from 10 years ago.
Kim So Hyun stars as Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love due to painful memories from her previous relationship—and who undergoes an unexpected change after running into Kang Hoo Young (Chae Jong Hyeop), who witnessed some of her lowest moments from her past.

Previously, Lee Hong Joo and Kang Hoo Young reunited again after 10 years. While Lee Hong Joo pessimistically remarked that first loves will reach their expiration date once defrosted, Kang Hoo Young made a cryptic confession, saying, “Mine seems to have started defrosting already.”
The newly released stills capture Lee Hong Joo and Kang Hoo Young’s intriguing amusement park date. Despite previously describing Hoo Young’s past self as a “pre-schooler with only brains but lacking human touch,” Hong Joo’s gaze at him now is tender, indicating a possible shift in her feelings.
Hoo Young, pausing his typically cynical demeanor, also flashes a bright smile. Donning a fox headband and enjoying the carousel, his cheerful expression hints at a transformation.
Other images capture Hong Joo and Hoo Young dressed as a king and servant, with Hong Joo striking a solemn pose in royal robes while Hoo Young earnestly takes her photo, adding a playful touch to their date.
On the other hand, other stills also preview a tense meeting between Lee Hong Joo and her first love Bang Joon Ho (Yun Ji On), who reenters her life to collaborate with her company, Peter’s Pen. Following their painful breakup, Hong Joo seems displeased by Joon Ho’s reappearance, while Joon Ho smiles warmly despite Hong Joo’s cold stare. These images heighten anticipation for the backstory of how Hong Joo, once earnest about love, became a skeptic, and the impact of Joon Ho’s return on her.
The production team hinted, “In Episode 2 airing today, Hong Joo experiences an exciting change. She experiences unfamiliar heart flutters during her unexpected date with Hoo Young, awakening her frozen romantic cells.
