SBS’s “The Fiery Priest 2” is heating up as Kim Nam Gil and Sung Joon prepare for an intense confrontation amidst pouring rain!
A sequel to the hit 2019 drama about priest Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil) with anger management issues, “The Fiery Priest 2” follows his story as he takes on the boss role of an organization by night and heads to Busan to fight the top drug cartel in the country.
Spoilers
Previously, Kim Hae Il discovered that the confiscated drugs from a packaging warehouse were fake, suspecting the drug cartel had taken preemptive action. Meanwhile, Kim Hong Shik (Sung Joon), who had swapped the drugs beforehand, realized Kim Hae Il was the one tracking the cartel. In a menacing move, he set fire to the Virgin Mary statue at the seminary where Kim Hae Il resides, raising the stakes further.
The newly released stills depict Kim Hong Shik organizing a sponsorship event at Uma Church. As he begins his speech on stage, Kim Hae Il watches him with an intense expression while Kim Hong Shik, sensing the sharp gaze, remains wary of his presence.
Later, in the empty courtyard of Uma Church, the two come head-to-head in a rain-soaked standoff that crackles with tension. The scene promises a dramatic escalation as Kim Hae Il glares daggers at Kim Hong Shik, who responds with a chilling smile.
The next episode of “The Fiery Priest 2” will air on November 29 at 10 p.m. KST.
