KBS2’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Dare to Love Me” has shared a sneak peek of its first script reading!
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Dare to Love Me” is a romantic comedy about the love story between Shin Yoon Bok (Kim Myung Soo), a 21st-century scholar from Seongsan village who believes deeply in Confucian values, and his art teacher Kim Hong Do (Lee Yoo Young), who has a reckless and straightforward personality.
Director Jang Yang Ho and writer Park Yoo Mi as well as the lead actors including Kim Myung Soo, Lee Yoo Young, Bae Jong Ok, Sunwoo Jae Duk, Park Eun Suk, and more gathered in one place for the drama’s first script reading.
As soon as the script reading began, Kim Myung Soo quickly immersed in his character and showcased his acting skills by perfectly portraying Shin Yoon Bok, who is kind to others but strict with himself based on the Confucian virtues of benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, and wisdom.
With her delicate acting, Lee Yoo Young doubled the charm of her lovable character Kim Hong Do, who dreams of becoming a designer despite having no connections or power and being disrespected in the fierce design industry.
Bae Jong Ok plays Jang Camille, the CEO of a luxury fashion brand who has intense presence as a powerful figure in the fashion industry. It is expected that Bae Jong Ok’s portrayal of Jang Camille will add excitement to the drama.
Sunwoo Jae Duk plays Shin Yoon Bok’s grandfather and the head of Seongsan Village Shin Soo Geun. The actor’s uniquely deep vibes perfectly express his character, who holds heavy responsibility as a leader of a village.
Lastly, Park Eun Suk portrays Lee Joon Ho, the owner of Seongsankwan, a high-end traditional Korean food restaurant. Lee Joon Ho is a suspicious character full of desire who will add tension to the drama.
The production team remarked, “Please show lots of interest for ‘Dare to Love Me,’ which will present a novel and pleasant love story between the unique characters of a courteous man and a driven woman that cannot be seen anywhere.”
“Dare to Love Me” will premiere on May 13 at 10:10 p.m. KST. Check out the latest teaser here!
