Kim Jung Hyun is set to star as Seo Kang Joo, the senior director of Jiseung Group, in the upcoming KBS weekend drama Iron Family.
Premiering in September as a follow-up of Beauty and Mr. Romantic, Iron Family is a romantic black comedy centered around Da Lim’s family, who runs a laundry business and begins ironing cash instead of clothes.
Kim Jung Hyun will play Seo Kang Joo, the senior director of Jiseung Group, run by his father, Ji Seung Don (Shin Hyun Joon). Kang Joo is known for his erratic personality, making him the least popular person among employees. Despite feeling undervalued, he strives to win his father’s approval, leading to moments of frustration when things don’t go his way.
The first stills released on the 8th showcase Kim Jung Hyun’s diverse portrayal of Seo Kang Joo, exuding charm in business casual attire and a sharp suit. The character’s unique way of expressing himself is highly anticipated, with fans eager to see how Kim Jung Hyun will bring Seo Kang Joo to life.
The production team commented, “Kim Jung Hyun adds intricate details to the character of Seo Kang Joo, giving him strong appeal and vitality. We ask for much interest and love for Kim Jung Hyun’s bold performance as Seo Kang Joo.”
