KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama “Iron Family” (literal translation) has shared a glimpse of Kim Jung Hyun’s character!
Penned by screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang of “Pasta,” “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also known as “Jealousy Incarnate”), and “Wok of Love,” “Iron Family” is a black comedy about a family that has run a laundry business for three generations.
Kim Jung Hyun plays Seo Kang Joo, the executive director at Jiseung Group, which is run by Ji Seung Don (Shin Hyun Joon). As Seo Kang Joo is known for his unpredictable behavior, all the employees at the company desperately want to avoid him. Even when he feels that others are looking down on him, he hides his feelings and strives to earn the approval of his father, who is the chairman of his company. However, his frustration grows as his efforts fail to become a reality.
Newly released stills from the upcoming drama show Seo Kang Joo wearing a variety of expressions, from a puzzled look to a mesmerizing, watery gaze. In one photo, he playfully presses an elevator button while seemingly hiding from someone, sparking curiosity about why he wound up needing to be so attuned to his staff’s opinions.
Portraying the actor’s expressive portrayal of his character, the drama’s production team remarked, “Kim Jung Hyun brings a powerful charm and vitality to the character of Seo Kang Joo by adding fine details. We ask that you give lots of support and interest to Kim Jung Hyun’s dynamic portrayal of Seo Kang Joo.”
“Iron Family” is set to premiere in September following the conclusion of “Beauty and Mr. Romantic.”
