KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama “Iron Family” (literal title) has shared stills of Kim Jung Hyun and Geum Sae Rok
Penned by screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang of “Pasta,” “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also known as “Jealousy Incarnate”), and “Wok of Love,” “Iron Family” is a dark comedy about a family that has run a laundry business for three generations. The drama was previously confirmed to star Kim Jung Hyun, Geum Sae Rok, Kim Young Ok, Park In Hwan, Shin Hyun Joon, Park Ji Young, and Kim Hye Eun.
Kim Jung Hyun will play Seo Kang Joo, the son of the richest family in the Cheongryeom neighborhood and the executive director of Jiseung Group.
Geum Sae Rok will star as Lee Da Rim, the youngest daughter of the Cheongnyeom Laundry family. Da Rim has been suffering from an incurable disease that has gradually narrowed her vision since she was 14 years old. Despite her visual impairment, Da Rim is courageous and confident. Da Rim miraculously finds a cure for her disease, but she gets frustrated by the ridiculously expensive cost of treatment. One day, Da Rim reunites with Seo Kang Joo, who she shares unforgettable memories with, for the first time in eight years, and they continue their connection.
The released photos depict Seo Kang Joo and Lee Da Rim’s first encounter. When Da Rim encounters Kang Joo at a crosswalk, she holds onto his arm for support instead of using a cane. Kang Joo, in turn, takes great care of Da Rim and gently leads her to her destination.
The two characters, who once shared unforgettable memories, reunite after eight years. Now a successful socialite, Kang Joo is caught off guard by the unexpected meeting with Da Rim, causing him to act out of character.
“Iron Family” is set to premiere in September as the follow-up to “Beauty and Mr. Romantic.” Stay tuned!
