In a recent feature on HighZium Studio’s YouTube channel, Kim Ji Won delved into her most memorable roles, declaring her character Hong Hae In from Queen of Tears as her “defining role.”
The video captured the actress in a playful yet insightful session where she ranked her past roles. After some contemplation, she confidently chose Hong Hae In as her top character. “I’ve recently greeted everyone as Hae In, and I still hold a lot of affection for her. I think the lingering feelings for this character will last for a long time, which is why Hae In tops my list,” she explained.
Kim Ji Won also highlighted other significant roles that have shaped her career. She placed Yoon Myeong Joo from Descendants of the Sun in second place, noting, “Filming that role made me discover new aspects of myself, and it was great to show a different side to the audience.” She then ranked Yeom Mi Jung from My Liberation Notes third, mentioning, “Mi Jung also allowed me to reveal new facets of myself, making her quite memorable.”
Reflecting on her array of beloved characters, Kim Ji Won expressed the challenge of picking just one. “I truly love all of these characters. I was drawn to each role because of their unique and impressive qualities. It’s difficult to choose just one defining role because, in reality, they all are,” she said.
