MBN’s new Friday-Saturday series Bad Memory Eraser (literal title) has finalized its cast with Kim Jae Joong, Jin Se Yeon, Lee Jong Won, and Yang Hye Ji.

Bad Memory Eraser tells the story of a man whose life is transformed by a memory eraser and a woman who becomes his fabricated first love. This intriguing drama comes from Chorokbaem Media, a legendary name in the romance genre, and Kim Jong Hak Production.

Kim Jae Joong makes his long-awaited return to the small screen after seven years, taking on the role of Lee Gun, whose life is turned upside down by a memory eraser. Once a promising tennis player, Lee Gun loses all his self-esteem following an injury, turning into a supporting character in his own life. However, with the help of the memory eraser, he reinvents himself with “maximum self-esteem, confidence and presence.”

Jin Se Yeon, known for her compelling performances in dramas like Doctor Stranger, Queen: Love and War, and Born Again, will play Kyung Joo Yeon, a psychiatrist at a brain research center and Lee Gun’s fabricated first love.

Knight Flower star Lee Jong Won steps into the role of Lee Shin, the world’s top-ranked tennis player and Lee Gun’s successful younger brother. He is expected to deliver a nuanced portrayal of Lee Shin’s hidden wounds while showcasing brotherly chemistry with Kim Jae Joong.

Yang Hye Ji, who recently won the Rookie of the Year award at the 2023 SBS Drama Awards for her role in Revenant, will play Jeon Sae Yan, the charming interpreter for the world-famous Lee Shin.

Bad Memory Eraser will premiere on August 2nd at 9:40 PM KST on MBN. The series will also be exclusively available on Rakuten Viki in Japan, North America, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and India.
