MBC’s “Bitter Sweet Hell” has shared an intriguing glimpse of its upcoming episode!

“Bitter Sweet Hell” is a black comedy-thriller starring Kim Hee Sun as Noh Young Won, the top family psychiatrist in all of Korea. When an anonymous blackmailer puts her career and family at risk, Noh Young Won teams up with her mother-in-law Hong Sa Gang (Lee Hye Young), a mystery novelist, to protect their family.

Previously on “Bitter Sweet Hell,” Lee Se Na (Yeonwoo) picked up the pace of her twisted attacks on Noh Young Won. Meanwhile, two unexpected secrets came to light: Noh Young Won’s son Choi Do Hyun (DKZ’s Jaechan) came out to her, while Choi Jae Jin (Kim Nam Hee) revealed to his mother Hong Sa Gang that he knew he wasn’t her biological son.

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Noh Young Won and Hong Sa Gang find themselves locked up in jail. Both women seem to be struggling with an array of mixed emotions as they attempt to read one another’s expressions through the bars separating their jail cells.

Noh Young Won’s gaze is both anxious and worried as she looks at Hong Sa Gang, who seems uncharacteristically defeated as she stares at the ground with a distraught expression. Later, however, Hong Sa Gang meets her daughter-in-law’s gaze with an intense look in her eye, piquing curiosity as to what the two could be discussing.

Praising the performance of the two actresses, the “Bitter Sweet Hell” production team commented, “This is a scene that truly proves the value of Kim Hee Sun and Lee Hye Young’s presence through their expert acting, which has unparalleled depth and substance.”

They went on to tease, “Please tune in to Episode 10 to catch the acme of this mother-in-law and daughter-in-law alliance, which they have been steadily building up until now despite their bickering.”

To find out how the duo will overcome this crisis, tune in to the next episode of “Bitter Sweet Hell” on June 22 at 9:50 p.m. KST!
