Upcoming Disney+ original series “Red Swan” has released new stills featuring Kim Ha Neul!
“Red Swan” depicts the story of Oh Wan Soo (Kim Ha Neul), who dreams of a perfect life in upper class society and marries the heir of Hwain Group. She encounters the secret of the Hwain family when she meets her bodyguard Seo Do Yoon (Rain), who always stands by her side. The drama is directed by Park Hong Kyun, the director of “Hwayugi,” “The Greatest Love,” and “The Great Queen Seon Deok,” and is written by Choi Yoon Jung, the writer of “Only Love,” “Three Sisters,” and “The Person I Love.”
The newly released still captures Oh Wan Soo’s past as a successful golfer proudly displaying her trophy.
In contrast, another set of images portrays her current high social status, adorned in elegant attire for a charity event or meticulously managing her schedules on her tablet.
According to the production team, Kim Ha Neul researched in detail the nuances of high society fashion, facial expressions, and postures to embody her role as the daughter-in-law of Korea’s elite family. In addition to her character’s outer appearance, Kim Ha Neul delved into the character’s emotions and situations to better portray her inner struggles.
Kim Ha Neul stated, “I was drawn to this drama because of my character’s resilience amidst the spectacular and dramatic events happening within the Hawin family.” She further explained her character, saying, “She possesses inner strength like a bamboo tree and doesn’t back down easily.”
Praising Kim Ha Neul’s acting skills, the director remarked, “I was looking for an actress with a good image to portray Oh Wan Soo’s innocent intention in an authentic manner. I was filming with complete satisfaction with Kim Ha Neul from the start.”
“Red Swan” is set to premiere on July 3. Stay tuned!
