Kim Go Eun’s highly anticipated queer film, Love In The Big City, finally revealed its official teaser on August 12, 2024, sparking a wave of excitement among fans.
Adapted from Park Sang Young’s best-selling book, the film tells the story of Jae Hee, a free-spirited woman, and her best friend and roommate, Heung Soo, a gay man living with HIV. The trailer highlights their deep friendship and their quest to live a life without regrets.
In the teaser, Jae Hee (played by Kim Go Eun) shows herself determined to find love while leading a life full of adventure. With Heung Soo by their side, they take full advantage of every moment: parties, alcohol and tattoos are on the agenda. Although Heung Soo is more realistic, he supports Jae Hee in her aspirations.
In addition to the teaser, PlusM Entertainment, the film’s producing studio, also unveiled a new poster that reinforces the film’s optimistic and joyful message.
Love In The Big City is directed by Lee Eon Hee, known for his works such as The Accidental Detective 2: In Action, Missing, and Love exposure. The film will premiere at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13 before its theatrical release in South Korea on October 2.
Fans of the book are also looking forward to the series adaptation, starring Nam Yoon Su.
