Upcoming series “Seoul Busters” has offered a sneak peek of Kim Dong Wook’s character!
“Seoul Busters” is a new comedy crime drama that follows the transformation of the country’s lowest-ranking violent crimes unit into the nation’s top team after they are paired with a highly skilled team leader. The drama is penned by screenwriters Lee Young Chul, known for the “High Kick” series and “The Best Hit,” and Lee Kwang Jae of “Potato Star 2013QR3.”
Kim Dong Wook stars as Dongbang Yoo Bin, the new leader of the Songwon Station Crime Unit Investigation Team 2, a squad infamous for being the worst-performing nationwide. Dongbang Yoo Bin is a standout with a sharp mind, striking looks, athletic ability, and top-notch education. Despite his impressive skills, he is known for his unpredictable behavior and quirky sense of humor. In a surprising twist, Dongbang Yoo Bin eagerly takes on the challenge of leading this notorious team, known for its failures in catching criminals.
In the newly released stills, Dongbang Yoo Bin, who has joined the nation’s worst-performing crime unit, stands out with his striking presence. Sitting thoughtfully while watching the team, Dongbang Yoo Bin’s cool, indifferent expression and the hint of madness in his eyes behind his glasses are amusing. Additionally, his quirky running style as he escapes the press by fleeing to a daycare center adds a unique charm that’s both funny and engaging.
Kim Dong Wook, known for adding unique charm to his characters and winning over viewers, is set to shine again with a standout role in the drama. Director Ahn Jong Yeon said, “Kim Dong Wook brings a surprising charm to his role. We added a hint of subtle madness, which made filming very enjoyable. Extensive script discussions were key in developing the character of Dongbang Yoo Bin.” This role is shaping up to be one of Kim Dong Wook’s most memorable comedic performance yet, increasing excitement for the series.
“Seoul Busters” is set to premiere on September 11 via Disney+.
