Kim Dong Wook and Park Se Wan’s upcoming comedy crime series “Seoul Busters” has confirmed its broadcast plans!
On May 21, Disney+ shared the broadcast plans for “Seoul Busters” along with a group photo of its cast members Kim Dong Wook, Park Se Wan, Park Ji Hwan, Seo Hyun Woo, and Lee Seung Woo.
“Seoul Busters” is a new comedy crime drama that follows the transformation of the country’s lowest-ranking violent crimes unit into the nation’s top team after they are paired with a highly skilled team leader. The drama is penned by screenwriters Lee Young Chul, known for the “High Kick” series and “The Best Hit,” and Lee Kwang Jae of “Potato Star 2013QR3.”
Kim Dong Wook takes on the role of Dongbang Yoo Bin, the head of the Songwon Police Station’s Homicide Squad Unit 2. Dongban Yoo Bin is handsome, intelligent, and has excellent athletic ability. He was even offered a permanent professorship at a famous overseas university, but he suddenly came to Korea and volunteered to become the head of the Songwon Police Station’s Homicide Squad Unit 2, which ranked last in the country in terms of arrest rate.
Park Se Wan plays Seo Min Seo, who holds No. 1 power in the Songwon Police Station’s Homicide Squad Unit 2 despite her soft appearance.
Park Ji Hwan of “The Roundup” series stars as veteran detective Moo Joong Ryeok. He is a former national boxing team member who looks tough on the outside but has unexpected charms.
Seo Hyun Woo transforms into detective Jung Jung Hwan, a former national shooting team member who once dreamed of winning multiple Olympic titles but is currently all in for a promotion in order to support his family.
Rookie actor Lee Seung Woo portrays the role of Jang Tan Sik, the youngest member of Dongbang Yoo Bin’s homicide squad. He is a detective who is very clumsy at his work but makes up for his mistakes with his positive personality and excessive passion.
“Seoul Busters,” which was originally planned to be broadcast via SBS, will premiere in September on Disney+.
