Kim Dong Wook and Lee Ha Nee are set to star in the upcoming film “The People Upstairs” (working title), directed by Ha Jung Woo!

On December 12, Ha Jung Woo’s agency Walk House Company confirmed that Lee Ha Nee and Kim Dong Wook will join the cast of “The People Upstairs.” The day before, it was announced that Ha Jung Woo and Gong Hyo Jin will also star in the film.

The agency revealed, “Ha Jung Woo and Lee Ha Nee will play a married couple, while Gong Hyo Jin and Kim Dong Wook will portray another married couple.”

“The People Upstairs” follows two married couples who meet due to noise complaints between apartments and the chaos that ensues as they have dinner together. The film will be Ha Jung Woo’s fourth directorial project, following “Fasten Your Seatbelt,” “Chronicle of a Blood Merchant,” and the upcoming film “Lobby.”

While this will be Lee Ha Nee’s first collaboration with Ha Jung Woo, Kim Dong Wook and Ha Jung Woo share a long-standing connection. The two previously starred together in the 2009 film “Take Off” and reunited in “Hijack 1971,” released this June, where Kim Dong Wook made a memorable special appearance.

Filming for “The People Upstairs” is set to begin in January 2025.
