Kim Da Mi has been cast as the lead in the upcoming drama Hundred Memories (working title).
On the 12th, a broadcast industry insider revealed, “Kim Da Mi has received the lead role offer for the new drama ‘Hundred Memories’ and is in final negotiations.” The drama is a period piece set in the 1980s, focusing on the friendships and love stories of bus guides.
Kim Da Mi has been offered the role of Go Young Rye, a bus guide working for Cheong A Transportation. Despite suffering from motion sickness, she rides the bus daily to support her mother. The character is bold and spirited, navigating the ups and downs of youth while leading the story.
Kim Da Mi, who previously charmed audiences with the youthful romance in SBS’s 2022 drama Our Beloved Summer, is expected to bring the essence of a period drama to life in Hundred Memories. Having starred in hits like JTBC’s Itaewon Class and the films The Witch and Soulmate, there is high anticipation for the success of this drama in the broadcasting industry.
Hundred Memories is the latest work by writer Yang Hee Seung, who gained viewers’ love with last year’s tvN hit Crash Course in Romance. The drama will be directed by Director Kim Sang Ho, known for JTBC’s Thirty-Nine, and produced by the drama production company SLL.
