Kang Tae Oh will be hosting an episode of “SNL Korea”!
On April 5, Coupang Play announced that Kang Tae Oh will be hosting Episode 7 of Season 5 of the “SNL Korea” reboot.
This marks Kang Tae Oh’s first television appearance following the completion of his military service.
Kang Tae Oh was discharged on March 19 after serving as an active duty soldier for approximately one year and six months since enlisting in September 2022.
Kang Tae Oh expressed, “Even during my military service, I enjoyed watching SNL and gained a lot of energy from it. I’ve always admired the crew’s passion and dedication to their comedic craft, so it’s a special feeling to be appearing on the show myself. With gratitude to the audience and fans who have been waiting for me, I will do my best to create a legendary episode.”
The Korean version of “Saturday Night Live” aired for nine seasons on tvN from 2011 through 2017. A completely new reboot of the program premiered in 2021 via the OTT platform Coupang Play with cast members including Shin Dong Yup, Kwon Hyuk Soo, Ahn Young Mi, Jung Sang Hoon, Kim Min Kyo, and more.
“SNL Korea” airs every Saturday at 8 p.m. KST via Coupang Play.
