Fictional K-Pop groups ANJell and ECLIPSE are receiving love and support from fans who hope to see them exist in the music industry.

When K-Drama and K-Pop meet, indeed, it is the joy of Hallyu fans who are delighted to be able to consume music and K-Pop at the same time. Recently, appearances of fictional K-Pop groups in K-Dramas have started to attract the interest of avid viewers. Surprisingly, these groups have even attracted fans who hope to see them land in real life.

ANJell was a fictional four-member mixed group created for the hit SBS series “You’re Beautiful”. They originally consisted of three male members until their label held an audition to add a new member.

The group consists of Hwang Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk), Go Mi Nam (Park Shin Hye), Kang Shin Woo (CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa), and Jeremy (FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki).

Two of them are real members of the groups CNBLUE and FT Island, who were very well known at the time the series was released. When the series aired, audiences were not only immersed in the gripping plot, they also fell in love with the official soundtracks of the series which were sung by the fictional groups themselves.

The OST quickly sold 20 albums and even exceeded 000 sales. It even topped various online streaming platforms like Melon, MNET, and Dosirak, beating out other K-pop groups.

They gained popularity following the announcement of their second mini-concert with over 2 in attendance and which was also filmed and included in the final scene of the series. According to the soap’s production team, there had already been a discussion about the possibility of bringing the group to life. Even its members were positive about making their debut.

However, due to Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Hong Ki’s busy schedule as idols, their rumored group was unable to debut.

As “Lovely Runner” gains notoriety, his fictional boyband ECLIPSE also begins to gather fans and make waves on the music scene.

Captivating audiences with its songs, visuals, and charismatic stage presence, ECLIPSE consists of Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok), Baek In Hyuk (N.Flying’s Lee Seung Hyub), Hyun Soo (Moon Xion), and Jay (Yang Hyuk).

They have already serenaded the crowd with their four songs “Sudden Shower”, “Run Run”, “You & I” and “We Will Meet”. Fans are not only waiting for the Kdrama to air, but also for every performance of the group.

ECLIPSE is surprisingly making waves in the charts, beating out other existing real groups. Recently, their song “Sudden Shower” entered at number 92 on the MelOn Top 100 chart.
Within weeks of its release, the OST has risen above other songs, currently ranking in the Top 20 on MelOn’s daily chart, setting a new record.

Fans are captivated by the group’s success on the actual charts. Additionally, ECLIPSE has reportedly gained nearly 1,12 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their famous song, “Sudden Shower”, has more than 5 million listeners, which confirms its notoriety. Fans are even hoping that ECLIPSE will debut in real life.

Due to the growing popularity of “Lovely Runner”, the Kdrama production is already planning to hold a special offline event, and fans are eagerly hoping that ECLIPSE will perform live. The group’s lead singer, Byeon Woo Seok, even impressed many people with his talent showcased on the show and wanted him to debut as an idol.
