Jung Yumi, one of the stars of the TVING series Queen Woo, shared insights into her experience filming the show’s intimate scenes.
At a press event for the series on August 27th, Jung Yumi discussed her experience playing the role of Woo Seon, Queen Woo Hee’s older sister and a maidservant who enters the queen’s palace to reclaim her own destiny. She admitted that the sexual scenes in the series were a significant departure from her previous work.
“I had concerns about the nude scenes initially,” the actress confessed. “It was a completely new experience for me.” However, she ultimately felt that the scenes were essential to the story because they helped maintain the tension and drive the plot forward.
Yumi explained, “I thought they were a powerful way to portray Woo Seon’s character. Once I decided to go for it, I put a lot of effort into these scenes, working closely with the production team to make sure everything was just right.”
Queen Woo tells a thrilling tale of a queen who must marry one of the power-hungry princes to ensure her survival after the sudden death of the king. The second part of the series is set to premiere on September 12th.
