Get ready for a tearful confrontation between Jung Hae In and Jung So Min on tvN’s “Love Next Door”!
“Love Next Door” is a romantic comedy by the director and writer of the hit drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.” Jung So Min stars as Bae Seok Ryu, a woman who tries to reboot her troubled life after it goes awry. Jung Hae In plays her mom’s friend’s son Choi Seung Hyo, whom she considers a dark and embarrassing chapter in her life.

On the previous episode of “Love Next Door,” things became awkward between Choi Seung Hyo and Bae Seok Ryu after he confessed his long-hidden feelings for her. In the end, the two childhood friends decided on a deadline by which Bae Seok Ryu would have to respond—but while Choi Seung Hyo was waiting for the 11 days to pass, it suddenly came to light that Bae Seok Ryu had undergone treatment for stomach cancer three years ago.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Choi Seung Hyo and Bae Seok Ryu fall asleep together in his room when no one else is home. A sick Choi Seung Hyo lies in bed in the darkened room with a towel on his head, while Bae Seok Ryu—who had been watching over him and taking care of him—has fallen asleep by his side.
After they wake up, the two friends share a tense conversation during which Choi Seung Hyo’s eyes well up with tears.
The “Love Next Door” production team remarked, “It still remains to be seen what sort of impact Bae Seok Ryu’s hidden secret will have on her relationship with Choi Seung Hyo. Please stay tuned to find out how her secret is revealed and how Choi Seung Hyo’s feelings will change after he comes face-to-face with her secret.”
