MBC’s upcoming drama “The Pork Cutlets” has shared new stills of Jung Sung Hoon and Jeon Hye Bin!
“The Pork Cutlets” is a short drama about the humorous lives of the residents of Onghwa Village and their village chief Jung Ja Wang. Jung Ja Wang advocates that the village’s Casanova dog Baek Gu be neutered, only to end up getting a vasectomy himself.
Jung Sang Hoon and Jeon Hye Bin will play the roles of Jung Ja Wang and Im Shin Ae, a happily married couple living in Onghwa Village that has three sons and is now expecting twin boys. Determined to stop at five children, Jung Ja Wang undergoes a vasectomy, leading to a series of comical events in the village.
The newly released stills capture the sweet moments between Jung Ja Wang and Im Shin Ae. Despite the daily chaos of raising enough children to form a basketball team, the couple’s love remains strong. The vasectomy introduces conflict for this affectionate couple, raising the question of how they will get through their biggest marital crisis.
According to the drama’s production team, Jung Sang Hoon and Jeon Hye Bin also exhibited perfect on-screen chemistry throughout filming. The two actors are said to have created a compelling portrayal of a loving couple through their seamless ad-lib exchanges and detailed performances that capture the reality of parenting.
The production team commented, “Jung Sang Hoon and Jeon Hye Bin truly have perfect chemistry as a couple. Not only are Jung Ja Wang and Im Shin Ae’s scenes together relatable, but they also include lovable couple moments that will make viewers burst out laughing. “The Pork Cutlets” premieres on July 5 at 9:50 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki.
