Jung Joon Young has been spotted in France after his release from prison.

Online buzz is swirling after a post on an online community forum claimed Jung Joon Young was seen in Lyon, France. The photo, uploaded on July 8th, reportedly shows Jung Joon Young with long hair and a beard. The netizen who posted the photo said, “He was flirting with women at a bar, asking for their Instagram accounts, and saying he was going to open a Korean restaurant in Lyon. He introduced himself as ‘Jun,’ a famous Korean singer.”

While the sighting remains unverified, it’s already sparked discussion. Back in 2018, Jung Joon Young was said to be prepping a restaurant opening in Paris, but those plans fizzled out after the Burning Sun scandal and group chatroom incident came to light.

Jung Joon Young was sentenced to 5 years in prison in the final appeal in September 2020 on charges of gang-raping women with Choi Jong Hoon and four others in Hongcheon in January 2016 and Daegu in March 2016, and distributing illegally filmed footage 11 times in a group chatroom.

After serving his five-year sentence, Jung Joon Young was released from the Mokpo Correctional Institution in South Jeolla Province in March. His release from prison was followed by speculation about his future, including emigration and a return to music. Both rumors were met with public outrage.
