KBS2’s upcoming drama “Who Is She!” is set to feature an impressive lineup of supporting actors!
A remake of the famous film “Miss Granny,” which has spawned multiple remakes in other countries, “Who Is She!” is a music romance drama about Oh Mal Soon (Kim Hae Sook), a woman in her 70s who suddenly transforms into 20-year-old Oh Doo Ri (Jung Ji So), and gets a second chance at living out her dreams of becoming a singer.
The newly released stills feature Daniel Han (Jung Jinyoung), Kim Ae Sim (Cha Hwa Yeon), Lim Ri Na (Lee Hwa Kyum), Jeong Ho Yi (Lee Dal), Seo Chan Mi (Kim Sowon), and Kwon Jun Hee (Oh Ji Yeon) from UNIS Entertainment, catching the eye of viewers.
Jung Jinyoung brings strong charisma to his role as Daniel Han, the head producer at UNIS Entertainment. As the right-hand to CEO Kim Ae Sim, he leads a talented team to launch and debut the idol group Element. When the group’s center trainee, Emily (Jung Ji So), goes missing, Daniel discovers Oh Doo Ri (also played by Jung Ji So), a look-alike, and quickly casts her in Emily’s place.
Cha Hwa Yeon stars as Kim Ae Sim, the CEO of UNIS Entertainment and a singer beloved by the nation. She plans to create the top idol group with her nephew Daniel and take them global. Over 50 years ago, she became a successful singer, winning every major award and building an impressive career. However, after running into a former acquaintance, Mal Soon (Kim Hae Sook), she begins to feel anxious. The arrival of Oh Doo Ri adds more tension, and her relationship with Daniel starts to crumble. The mystery of Ae Sim’s past with Mal Soon and how Oh Doo Ri’s presence affects her add to the drama.
Lee Hwa Kyum plays Lim Ri Na, the performance director and head of marketing. She is the only one willing to speak honestly to the difficult Daniel. A perfectionist in every way—whether in singing, dancing, or training—Ri Na is an essential, versatile employee at UNIS Entertainment. With a commanding presence, she exudes career woman energy, and her dynamic with Daniel creates perfect on-screen chemistry.
Lee Dal plays Jeong Ho Yi, the choreographer. A talented dancer, Ho Yi quickly becomes the go-to person at UNIS Entertainment thanks to his sharp instincts. Known for spreading news around the company, he often bickers with Oh Doo Ri, creating unique chemistry between the two.
Kim Sowon portrays Seo Chan Mi, the vocal director, who has earned the respect of even veteran Kim Ae Sim. Chan Mi is the one who polished Emily, turning her into a star. When Oh Doo Ri joins as a trainee, confident in her own vocal style and eager to introduce new techniques, Chan Mi is caught off guard, especially since Oh Doo Ri is a stark contrast to the quiet Emily.
Oh Ji Yeon plays Kwon Jun Hee, a composer and producer. One of South Korea’s top composers, she is known for creating trendy music and works with Daniel to produce the album for the idol group Element. Jun Hee finds new fulfillment as she begins mentoring Choi Ha Na (Chae Won Bin), a talented young composer.
The key members of UNIS Entertainment—Cha Hwa Yeon, Lee Hwa Kyum, Lee Dal, Kim Sowon, and Oh Ji Yeon—are vital to the company. Along with Daniel, they work hard to debut the idol group Element. The story will follow how these characters, each with their own background, interact with newcomers Jung Ji So and Chae Won Bin, and the chemistry that develops between them.
“Who Is She!” will premiere on December 18 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
