Jung Jinyoung has now officially joined TWICE’s Dahyun in discussions for the Korean adaptation of the beloved Taiwanese coming-of-age romance film “You Are the Apple of My Eye”!
On May 13, Xportsnews reported that Jinyoung and Dahyun had been cast for the lead roles in the Korean adaptation of “You Are the Apple of My Eye.”
In response to the report, a representative from Jinyoung’s side shared on May 14, “Jinyoung has received an offer to star in the project and is positively reviewing it.”
The popular Taiwanese romance film “You Are the Apple of My Eye” tells the story of the high school troublemaker Ko Ching Teng (Chen Tung Ko) and the model student Shen Chia Yi (Michelle Chen), spanning from their school years to 15 years later.
Previously, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Dahyun is in talks to portray the female lead Seon Ah (equivalent to Shen Chia Yi’s character). Jinyoung has been offered the role of Jin Woo, mirroring Ko Ching Teng’s character from the original work.
If Jinyoung accepts the role, this would mark his first return to the big screen in five years since his 2019 film “The Dude in Me.”
