Jung Hae In is set for an exciting new challenge in the upcoming tvN romantic comedy Love Next Door, premiering on the 17th.
Love Next Door follows the story of a woman trying to reboot her life and her mom’s friend’s son, a walking reminder of her past, as they embark on a chaotic and romantic journey. The series features the reunion of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha director Yoo Je Won and writer Shin Ha Eun, raising anticipation for the new project.
Jung Hae In, taking on his first romantic comedy role, portrays Choi Seung Hyo, a flawless character with looks, personality, and talent. As the head of an architecture firm and a promising young architect, Seung Hyo’s peaceful life is disrupted by the return of Bae Seok Ryu, played by Jung So Min.
In the newly released photos, Choi Seung Hyo captivates with his impeccable suit and visuals. As a successful architect, he’s on the rise in his career. The stills also reveal Seung Hyo’s past as a promising swimmer selected for the national team, sparking curiosity about why he abandoned that dream for his current life.
Jung Hae In shared why he chose Love Next Door: “The script was interesting on its own. I’ve enjoyed Director Yoo Je Won’s previous works, and I was eager to work with Jung So Min. Choi Seung Hyo is a strong-willed character with a gentle exterior. As I got immersed in the script, I naturally started building the character and imagining how to portray him.”
He added, “There’s always a mix of excitement and fear when taking on a new project. With this being a romantic comedy, there were many laughs on set, and the positive energy was great.” His comments have heightened the anticipation among drama fans for his rom-com debut.
Love Next Door will air its first episode on tvN on the 17th at 9:20 PM KST.
