Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won’s upcoming Disney+ original series “Tempest” has confirmed the cast lineup!

In addition to Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won, Kim Hae Sook, Lee Mi Sook, Yoo Jae Myung, Park Hae Joon, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Hee, Joo Jong Hyuk, Won Ji An, and John Cho will be joining the star-studded lineup.

“Tempest” follows the story of Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a diplomat who has built an international reputation as a former ambassador to the United States, as she chases after the truth hidden behind an immense case along with San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of an unknown nationality.

Jun Ji Hyun will play the role of Moon Ju, who has gained great trust in the international community through her insightful judgement and actions. Kang Dong Won will be taking on the role of the mysterious San Ho, a former top-tier international mercenary whose nationality and past are all hidden behind a veil.

The cast lineup further includes Kim Hae Sook, who will play South Korea’s president Chae Kyung Shin. Lee Mi Sook will transform into Moon Ju’s mother-in-law Lim Ok Sun, and Yoo Jae Myung will play the director of the National Intelligence Service (NIS).

Park Hae Joon will transform into Moon Ju’s husband Joon Ik. Furthermore, Joon Ik’s younger brother Joon Sang will be portrayed by Oh Jung Se. Actress Lee Sang Hee will play Moon Ju’s longtime aide Yeo Mi Ji, while Joo Jong Hyuk will be Joon Ik’s aide Park Chang Hee. Won Ji Ahn will play the mysterious Kang Han Na who knows Joon Ik’s secret.

The cast lineup also includes Hollywood actor and “Star Trek” star John Cho, who will play the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, starring in his first Korean original series.

“Tempest” is slated to premiere in 2025 via Disney+. Stay tuned for more updates!
