– He was born in Seoul, South Korea.
– Ji Sung’s parents were both educators and had hoped that Ji Sung would also enter the teaching profession.
– It was Dustin Hoffman’s acting in Rain Man that inspired Ji Sung to become an actor, even though his father strongly objected.
– In 1999, he appeared as a guest in the drama March (행진).
– He is also known as; Ji Seong and Gwak Tae Gun.
– He attended the Hanyang University majoring in Theater and Film.
– Earlier in his career, he once went by the stage name Choi Ji Sung and eventually, he dropped the Choi and only went with Ji Sung.
– In 2004 he did the ending narration for the animated movie Phantom Master: Dark Hero from the Ruined Empire.
– In 2007, he and actress Lee Bo Young confirmed they were dating after meeting on the set of the 2004 TV series, Save Last Dance for Me.
-In 2013, Ji Sung married Lee Bo Young at the W Seoul Walkerhill Hotel.
– On June 12th, 2015 Ji Sung’s welcomed his first child, a daughter named Kwak Ji Yoo.
