Ji Chang Wook’s agency has stepped in to address the so-called “Ji Chang Wook signature snatch” incident that recently went viral online.
On September 5th, Spring Company posted a humorous announcement on their official PR account, “Ji Chang Wook’s Archive.” The post, titled “Looking for Someone,” stated, “We are searching for the fan who was startled when Ji Chang Wook accidentally took their autograph notebook during a stage greeting for ‘Revolver’ on August 7th. If you or someone you know was the fan who lost their notebook, please leave a comment!”
The agency went on to explain, “Although the notebook has been returned to its rightful owner, the actor couldn’t locate the fan who extended their hand in such confusion at the time,” asking for help in tracking down the fan or any witnesses.
The incident in question took place during a stage greeting for Revolver when Ji Chang Wook, amidst the rush of fan requests, hastily signed a fan’s notebook but accidentally walked off with it, returning only the pen. The fan’s desperate hand reaching for the notebook was caught on camera, quickly going viral across social media.
In a playful tone, the agency added, “Ha! I’m taking my own autograph,” bringing laughs to fans.
