Jeon Yeo Been has been cast as the female lead in tvN’s highly anticipated drama Our Movie (working title) opposite Namkoong Min.
On July 3rd, an insider revealed, “Jeon Yeo Been is in the final stages of considering the lead role in tvN’s new drama ‘Our Movie.’”
The drama tells the story of a film director and an actress who has been given a terminal diagnosis. Jeon Yeo Been will play the actress who decides to take on the lead role in a film as she faces the end of her life. Namkoong Min was previously reported to be in talks for the role of the director, who meets Jeon’s character while struggling through a slump in his promising career and falls in love with her.
Jeon is currently filming the movie The Black Nuns (literal title), co-starring Song Hye Kyo. She is also in discussions for the upcoming drama Made in Korea, which features a star-studded cast including Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung.
Our Movie is directed by Lee Jung Heum, known for his work on JTBC’s Inspector Koo and SBS’s Nobody Knows. The screenplay is written by Han Ga Eun and Kang Kyung Min, and the series is produced by Beyond J. The production team plans to finalize the casting of the main and supporting roles soon.
