Upcoming occult film “Dark Nuns” has dropped new stills of Jeon Yeo Been in character!
The second installment and the female version of Kang Dong Won’s hit 2015 film “The Priests,” “Dark Nuns” tells the story of nuns who perform exorcisms to save a young boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.
Jeon Yeo Been stars as Sister Michaela, who becomes involved in a forbidden ritual to save a boy in pain. A psychiatry resident and disciple of Father Paolo (Lee Jin Uk), Michaela struggles with inner turmoil over phenomena that cannot be explained by medical science. Initially skeptical of Sister Junia (Song Hye Kyo) who pleads for her help, Michaela’s curiosity grows as she sees Junia’s determination to save the boy.
On Jeon Yeo Been’s portrayal of Michaela, director Kwon Hyuk Jae said, “The process of Michaela’s growth and transformation could be portrayed in a more multidimensional way because it was brought to life by Jeon Yeo Been.”
Jeon Yeo Been shared, “I tried to understand Michaela’s emotions. I focused on the details in her gaze, especially in key moments, and worked to genuinely understand the situation she was in.”
“Dark Nuns” will hit theaters on January 24, 2025. Stay tuned!
