Jang Ki Yong recently took a trip down memory lane, recalling his days as a fashion model.
The star is currently starring in JTBC’s drama The Atypical Family, playing the role of Bok Gwi Joo, a time traveler who lost his ability to time travel due to his depression.
In an interview, Jang was asked if filming the drama made him think about marriage and children. He replied, “I don’t think Gwi Joo and Ina (played by Park So Yi) were that close in the drama. If we had filmed more scenes of a happy and enjoyable father-daughter relationship, I might have thought about it, but Gwi Joo and Ina’s emotional state was more complex than I thought.” He added, “I have no plans to get married yet.”
Recently, Joo Woo Jae revealed on MBC’s Hangout with Yoo that Jang Ki Yong and Byun Woo Seok are becoming so popular that their old modeling photos are being unearthed.
Jang Ki Yong responded, “I really lived a fierce life back then. I had so much fun modeling, and I’m sure there were tough times too, but it’s a really good memory for me.” He continued, “I was grateful that Woo Jae mentioned me, and I even sent him a text message personally. Thank you for reminding me of those days. They were fun times for me, and it’s so enjoyable and fun to see the photos of me on shows back then or the photos of us playing together.”
Speaking of Byun Woo Seok, the star said, “I have a unique bond with my fellow models who worked with me. There’s a saying, ‘No news is good news,’ right? I’m genuinely happy that my colleagues who went through tough times with me are doing well.”
