Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
This month, IVE earned multiple million certifications: Circle Chart awarded the group their first double million certification for selling over 2 million copies of their 2023 mini album “I’VE MINE,” and they also received a million certification for their 2022 single album “LOVE DIVE.”
Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE earned two separate Circle certifications for their latest studio album “2.” The regular version of the album received a million certification, while the POCA version was certified double platinum for selling over 500,000 copies.
TWICE’s “With YOU-th” and LE SSERAFIM’s “EASY” also earned million certifications for over 1 million copies sold each.
Stray Kids’ 2020 album “GO生” (“GO LIVE”) and ENHYPEN’s debut mini album “BORDER: DAY ONE” were both certified triple platinum for selling over 750,000 copies each.
BOYNEXTDOOR’s first mini album “WHY..” was also certified double platinum for over 500,000 copies sold.
IU’s “The Winning,” NCT’s Taeyong’s solo mini album “TAP,” CRAVITY’s “EVERSHINE,” and PLAVE’s “ASTERUM : 134-1” were all certified platinum for selling 250,000 copies each.
Over in the streaming category, IU’s 2019 hit “Blueming” was certified triple platinum after surpassing 300 million streams.
NewJeans’ “Hype Boy” was certified double platinum for reaching 200 million streams, as was The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s hit collab “Stay.”
Finally, Zico’s “New thing” (featuring Homies) was certified platinum for surpassing 100 million streams.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
