IU has made headlines for providing business class flights for her staff.
On August 5th, online communities buzzed with posts titled “IU’s Gift to Her Staff” and similar topics. One user wrote, “After her U.S. concert, IU flew back to Korea and bought business class tickets for her staff. There must be around 30 dancers, plus band members, agency people, concert team, and security staff. That’s true FLEX,” accompanied by multiple Instagram stories from grateful staff tagging IU.
One staff member posted a photo of part of their ticket with the caption, “Her FLEX! She bought us tickets, telling us we did great. Her name is,” tagging IU. Another staff member shared a photo of sitting in a business class seat, writing, “Thanks to Jieun (IU), I’m truly comfortable on my way back to Korea.”
It’s reported that IU provided business class tickets for over 100 staff members. Fans praised her, saying, “IU always treats those around her well. She’s generous with what she has, which makes her so likable,” and, “I seriously want to work under her.”
Meanwhile, IU will hold her “HEREH” encore concert at Sangam World Cup Stadium on September 21st and 22nd after completing her U.S. tour.
