Kim Sae Ron opened up about rumors surrounding her marriage.
The actress clarified in an interview with Hankyung.com on January 8th, saying, “It was just a photo I took with friends. The marriage rumor isn’t true.” When asked why she deleted the photo, she added, “It’s hard to explain, so I hope for your understanding.”
The rumors started on January 6th when Kim Sae Ron shared a photo on social media with the caption “Marry.” The image showed her posing with a man. Although she quickly deleted the post, it went viral online, sparking speculation about her marriage.
In May 2022, Kim Sae Ron made headlines for a drunk driving incident in Seoul. She crashed into a guardrail, a tree and a street transformer box. Her blood alcohol level was reported to be 0.2%, far above the legal limit for license revocation (0.08%). She was charged with violating the Road Traffic Act, went to trial, and was fined 20 million KRW.
The incident led to her removal from the SBS drama Trolley, and she was edited out of the Netflix series Bloodhounds. Despite this, she completed filming for the movie Guitar Man last year, which is now awaiting release.
