Disney Plus has confirmed that Hyun Bin, Jung Woo Sung, Won Ji An, Seo Eun Soo, Cho Yeo Jeong and Jung Sung Il will be joining the original series “Made in Korea.”
“Made in Korea” is set in the turbulent 1970s. The series follows Baek Gi Tae, a man greedy for wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Gun Young, who goes to great lengths to stop him. The series shows their confrontations with major events of the time. It is directed by Woo Min Ho, known for “The Man Standing Next,” who is making his TV drama directorial debut.
Hyun Bin will play Baek Gi Tae, a character whose ambition for wealth and power reveals a new side of the actor. Jung Woo Sung will play Jang Gun Young, a prosecutor with animal instincts and fierce determination, adding depth and intensity to the drama.
Won Ji An will play Choi Yoo Ji, a lobbyist, and Seo Eun Soo will play investigator Oh Ye Jin. Cho Yeo Jeong will mesmerize as Bae Geum Ji, while Jung Sung Il will play Cheon Seok Joong, the chief secretary, embodying the upheaval of the times.
“Made in Korea” will be available exclusively on Disney Plus.
