“Family by Choice” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!
“Family by Choice” is a JTBC romance drama about three people who reconnect after spending 10 years living together as a family and another 10 years living apart as strangers. During their adolescence, Kim San Ha (Hwang In Youp), Yoon Ju Won (Jung Chaeyeon), and Kang Hae Jun (Bae Hyeon Seong) are raised together by Kim San Ha’s father Kim Dae Uk (Choi Moo Sung), and Yoon Ju Won’s father Yoon Jeong Jae (Choi Won Young).

In the previous episode, Kim San Ha and Yoon Ju Won were caught by Kang Hae Joon while trying to keep their relationship a secret. The two faced difficulties earning his approval after being discovered. Initially, Kang Hae Joon opposed their relationship, feeling sadness and concern over the shift from being like family to becoming lovers. However, he eventually became their ally after witnessing their sincere efforts.
But this was only the beginning. A greater challenge lay ahead—winning over their fathers, Yoon Jeong Jae and Kim Dae Uk. In a bold move, Kim San Ha confessed his relationship with Yoon Ju Won during a family gathering, leaving the fathers utterly speechless.
For Yoon Jeong Jae and Kim Dae Uk, who had cared for the pair like their own children for years, this revelation was undoubtedly a heavy blow. All eyes are now on how the fathers will react to the shocking news.
The newly released stills capture the aftermath of this shocking turn of events. Kim San Ha, Yoon Ju Won, Yoon Jeong Jae, and Kim Dae Uk reunite at an unexpected location, piquing curiosity. In one still, Kim San Ha is shown at the emergency room, while Yoon Ju Won watches over him with a deeply worried expression.
Other stills show Yoon Jeong Jae and Kim Dae Uk rushing to the scene after hearing the news, their visibly alarmed expressions amplifying the tension and underscoring the gravity of the situation.
Furthermore, the awkward atmosphere between Kim San Ha, Yoon Ju Won, and Yoon Jeong Jae adds to the tension. Whether Kim San Ha and Yoon Ju Won can ultimately gain their fathers’ approval for their relationship remains to be seen.
