Some stars go the extra mile to show their friendships last beyond the drama. Even after filming wraps, they send coffee trucks to the set when their close actor friends are working on new projects.
Song Hye Kyo took to social media to show off the sweet gesture from her co-star Lim Ji Yeon on April 2nd. Sharing photos of a coffee truck sent to the set of her new movie The Black Nuns (literal translation), the star captioned the post “Pretty Ji Yeon. Thank you!” The coffee truck’s message displayed care and support, reading “Please take good care of Hye Kyo. Sending love to The Black Nuns cast and crew!” Even the cup holders offered a personal touch with the message “I always support you, Hye Kyo.” This heartwarming exchange highlights the close bond the actresses formed while working together on the Netflix series The Glory.
In January, Go Yoon Jung took to social media to share a heartwarming exchange with her on-screen dad, Ryu Seung Ryong. She posted a photo of a coffee truck sent as a gift to the set of her new tvN drama Resident Playbook. The banner displayed a message of support, reading “We support Go Yoon Jung and Resident Playbook.” Yoon Jung also revealed a sweet message from Ryu that read “Daughter. You studied hard! You are my pride, Yoon Jung.” This playful exchange highlights the endearing father-daughter chemistry the two actors built while working together on the Disney Plus series Moving.
Park Bo Gum also shared his appreciation for a thoughtful gift in September 2023. He posted a photo on his story with a simple “Thank you for your support!” The photo revealed a coffee truck sent by his former Reply 1988 co-star, Ahn Jae Hong. The messages on the truck displayed both encouragement and affection. One message read, “We support writer Lim Sangchun’s drama When Life Gives You Tangerines and Park Bo Gum!” while another offered a cool refreshment to the staff with a heartwarming shout-out to Park Bo Gum: “Have a cool drink on a hot day and please take good care of our Bo Gum!” Ahn Jae Hong even referenced his character Ju Oh Nam from Netflix series Mask Girl with the message “Aishiteru!” This exchange showcases the enduring friendship between the two actors, who first bonded while playing close friends in Reply 1988.
