“Harbin” shows no signs of slowing down at the Korean box office!
Ever since its release on December 24, the star-studded new film has enjoyed an uninterrupted five-day streak at No. 1 at the Korean box office.
On December 29, the Korean Film Council announced that as of the day before (December 28), “Harbin” had officially reached a total of 2,054,058 moviegoers.
Notably, “Harbin” surpassed 2 million moviegoers faster than the blockbuster “12.12: The Day,” which was Korea’s biggest box office hit of 2023 (and took about six days to reach the milestone).
Set in 1909 and starring Hyun Bin as Ahn Jung Geun, “Harbin” is a historical spy thriller about resistance fighters aiming to end the Japanese occupation of Korea. In addition to Hyun Bin, the movie also stars Lee Dong Wook, Park Jung Min, Jeon Yeo Been, Jo Woo Jin, Park Hoon, Yoo Jae Myung, and more.
Congratulations to the cast and crew!
