The film “Handsome Guys” has surpassed 1 million moviegoers!
“Handsome Guys” is a comedy horror film that follows Jae Pil (Lee Sung Min) and Sang Goo (Lee Hee Joon), who aspire for countryside life, as they move into a new house. However, on moving day, they stumble upon a reawakened spirit trapped in the basement, setting off a series of unforgettable events.
On July 8, the film surpassed 1 million viewers, reaching a cumulative audience of 1,001,057 as of 7:50 p.m. KST, according to the integrated movie theater ticket network.
Released on June 26, the film achieved significant box office success thanks to overwhelmingly positive reviews from audiences and strong word-of-mouth. It stood out in summer theaters alongside new releases. The addition of stage greeting events further fueled its popularity, leading to a rise in box office rankings and topping Korean movie seat sales in its second week.
Positive audience feedback and word-of-mouth have not only attracted new viewers but also encouraged multiple repeat viewings.
Following their success, actors Lee Sung Min, Lee Hee Joon, Gong Seung Yeon, Park Jeong Hwa, and director Nam Dong Hyeop expressed gratitude to the audience with a video.
“Handsome Guys” is currently showing in theaters.
