Han Ga In discussed the circumstances surrounding her recent hospitalization while amusingly referencing her look-alike, Kim Dong Jun. On Thursday, her YouTube channel, Han Ga In is Free, featured a video titled “Han Ga In’s Final Meeting with Her Doppelgänger Kim Dong Jun (Hospitalization Vlog).”
In the video, Han Ga In appears slightly flustered as the crew enters her hospital room. “Is this for real? You’re barging in with cameras?” she quipped. When asked if she was in the middle of applying makeup, Han Ga In laughed and said, “I just applied some BB cream. I haven’t even had a chance to shower.”
She then opened up about her hospitalization, stating, “So, you know I recently ran into Kim Dong Jun? They say that encountering your doppelgänger can be deadly. I suppose since we’re of different genders, I ended up just getting sick instead of… you know.” She laughed before getting more serious. “But honestly, after meeting Kim Dong Jun, I started feeling really unwell that night. My condition deteriorated rapidly—I couldn’t stand or eat. Initially, the doctors were puzzled about what was happening. After enduring a commercial shoot, I couldn’t push through any longer and had to admit myself to the hospital.”
When the crew remarked that she doesn’t appear very ill, Han playfully argued, “Hey, I crawled in here!” She further explained, “I was completely out of it. My husband had to help me, and the nurses promptly placed me in a wheelchair.”
Han Ga In then shared the medical insight regarding her condition: “The doctor finally diagnosed what was happening, and that’s why I’m feeling significantly better now. It’s somewhat complex, but essentially, I’ve been experiencing unexplained dizziness. At first, I suspected it was a lasting effect from a prior inner ear issue. When it didn’t improve, I turned to YouTube for some answers before arriving here. It turns out I have orthostatic hypotension. I had no clue.”
She elaborated, “Every time I stood up, blood wasn’t circulating to my brain properly, resulting in the dizziness. It felt like a fog lifted once they provided me with the correct medication. I’ve enjoyed two full nights of sleep, and my nighttime heart palpitations have disappeared.” Han Ga In joyfully announces that she’s now on the path to recovery.
