On Wednesday, actress Han Ga In opened up about her struggles with hair loss, revealing more about her personal life in a candid new video.

The video, “Actress Han Ga In’s Bathroom Secrets Revealed: Exfoliation Tips and Husband’s Surprising Reaction,” was posted on her YouTube channel Han Ga In Is Free. In the video, Han takes viewers on a tour of her home, including a rare peek inside her main bathroom, which features a stunning view of Namsan. As she begins drying her hair, she laughs and says, “This hair dryer is supposed to save even the most hopeless cases, but I can’t seem to make it magic,” before reaching for a scalp essence.

Han then shared a more personal confession: “This might sound a bit dramatic, but I used to have really thick hair—it was in my genes. But after having my second child, I started noticing my hairline thinning. My crown began to lose volume, and as my scalp weakened, I lost volume on top. And when that happens, you lose volume at the roots, and your face starts to sag, too.” She smiled, “I’ve always parted my hair on the left, but I’ve learned you need to switch up your part occasionally.”

Han Ga In also gave viewers a glimpse into her daily routines, particularly concerning body care. “I don’t make those decisions solo anymore,” she admitted. “My kids are my beauty consultants now. They really hate it when my scent changes. Even if I just switch up my skincare, they notice and say, ‘Mom, your cosmetics are different.’ They’ve got super-sensitive noses.” Han expressed her desire to have a signature scent that her children would remember, just like the scent of her own mother.

In an unexpected twist, Han revealed a cross-stitch project tucked away in her bathroom drawer. “It might come as a shock, but I love cross-stitching,” she said with a smile. “I’ve been at it for over two decades. I made this one of my first boyfriend’s face before I met my husband, Yeon Jung Hoon. And yes, he knows all about it,” she added with a cheeky grin.

Han also shared her appreciation for the view from her home, saying, “It’s wonderful to sit in the bathtub and enjoy a bath while taking in this view. One of the reasons I can’t bring myself to move, even though I sometimes want a change, is because of all the trees here. I love seeing the four seasons of Namsan all year round.”

She then revealed a personal parenting tip: “I’ve never been able to wash my kids’ hair while standing. They freak out if water touches them. I think I wash their hair better than most professional hairstylists!”
