Ji Seung Hyun issued a public apology—but with a twist!
On the night of October 24th, SBS’s YouTube channel released a video titled “This is Kim Ji Sang, I Apologize.” In the video, Ji Seung Hyun, who plays Kim Ji Sang in the SBS series Good Partner, delivered a playful yet sincere apology to his co-stars and the audience.
In the video, Ji Seung Hyun started off by saying, “I am truly sorry. First, I would like to extend my deepest apologies to Cha Eun Kyung, who has been deeply hurt by my affair.” He was referring to his character’s wife, played by Jang Na Ra. He then added with a straight face, “Here, ‘deepest’ means ‘very deeply,’” prompting laughter from viewers with his serious explanation.
Ji Seung Hyun continued his comedic apology by addressing his character’s mistress, played by Han Jai. “I also want to sincerely apologize to Choi Sa Ra, my affair partner in the drama,” he said. He then humorously confessed, “I have committed the truly unforgivable act of two-timing. I sincerely apologize to all the viewers. I’m aware that because of me, there have been reactions like ‘My low blood pressure has been cured,’ and ‘I need to see justice happen,’” he said, bowing once more.
To end his playful apology, Ji Seung Hyun humorously blamed his acting skills, saying, “I think all of this is because I acted too well—in SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama ‘Good Partner’!” The video concluded with a teaser for an upcoming segment titled “Kim Ji Sang Reads (Mean) Comments,” set to be released on the 29th.
Fans who watched Ji Seung Hyun’s video left comments such as “Apologize to your daughter Jae Hee too,” “The fact that he didn’t break character is the best part,” “His tone is so Kim Ji Sang—this is hilarious, lol,” “Yes, it’s all because you acted too well,” and “What a creative promo!”
Meanwhile, SBS’s Good Partner airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m. KST.
