(G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon will be taking a temporary break from all activities due to her health.

On June 1, Cube Entertainment officially announced that due to a “recent worsening of her health,” Soyeon had visited the hospital, where she had been advised by a doctor that she needed “plenty of rest and stability.”

As a result, Cube Entertainment stated that not only would Soyeon be sitting out (G)I-DLE’s fan events scheduled for later that day, but she would be temporarily halting all scheduled activities in order to focus on her recovery.

The agency’s full statement is as follows:

Hello.
This is Cube Entertainment.

We are making an announcement regarding (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon’s absence from [the group’s] upcoming schedule.

Due to a recent worsening of her health, Soyeon visited the hospital, and she was advised by a doctor that she needed plenty of rest and stability.

Therefore, even though Soyeon expressed her desire to participate in the YIZHIYU & (G)I-DLE offline fan signing event and special fan event scheduled for June 1 (Saturday), she will be unable to participate because her health has not yet recovered.

We have decided to temporarily halt all of [Soyeon’s] scheduled activities for the time being so that she can focus on recovering her health through rest and treatment.

As this decision was made out of consideration for the artist’s health, we ask for fans’ generous understanding.

Once again, we apologize for giving fans cause for concern with this sudden news, and we will do our utmost to ensure that our artist can focus on recovering her health as much as possible.

Thank you.

Wishing Soyeon a speedy and full recovery!
