During her pictorial, Yuqi shared her thoughts regarding their newest comeback “Queencard.” Yuqi stated if she were to describe the release in one word, the word “freedom” first comes in to mind. She then continued that the message of “Queencard” is the continuation of “Allergy.”
Yuqi also shared her insights about the album’s side tracks “All Night” and “Peter Pan,” which she both lyrically wrote. Both songs were inspired by Yuqi’s sheer confidence and carefree nature. She also shared her goal for 2023.
“First of all, it was really liberating and enjoyable for us to dance, produce, and sing the songs. The message of ‘Queencard’ centers around ‘freedom,’ which is an extension from our pre-release track ‘Allergy.'”
“This release comes in three various concept photos. Among those, we encapsulated the yearning to expressing yourself freely, and flying free like a butterfly does.”

“To express my sincerity, I tried to think about what I feel emotionally, and verbally. ‘All Night’ is a track that fits a party. Instead of delving through deep contemplation, I envisioned the simple message of “I’m the most awesome one in the world, let’s just dance all night.'”
“My goal for 2023 is to apply the thinking of “let’s make it worth it in doing everything we want.’ I hope everyone sees that ‘Yuqi is really enjoying her time.’ If I’m happy in what I do, people who watch will be happy too.”
(G)I-DLE Yuqi Dishes on Self-Belief, Consistency, & Resolve
Yuqi then followed up with how she enjoyed preparing for their mini album. She also discussed about her self-belief and thoughts regarding the idea of failure.
Moreover, Yuqi opened up on how she feels after an accomplishment, highlighting her consistency in terms of positive influence.
“Yes, since we prepared so much, and I trust myself in doing it. I thought that I would have fun on stage because of this trust. Whatever reaction the album may receive, it’s enough that I enjoy myself.”
“I find myself stubborn and feel a need to be perfect. However, I’m not afraid of failure, because to be honest, all failures are not failures. If you see what’s ahead instead of what already occurred, then regrets won’t arise.”
“I believe living like this would maintain a positive impact towards others who support or watch me.”
