On June 11 at midnight KST, (G)I-DLE began their countdown to their comeback with a teaser schedule chart. According to chart, (G)I-DLE will roll out the first concept trailer on June 21 followed by concept images on June 24, 25, and 26. Then, the girls will release the track list on June 27.

(G)I-DLE will officially release their 7th mini-album ‘I SWAY’ online on July 8 and offline on July 9. So mark your calendars, and don’t miss out on the album release.

In the teaser image that is released, a walkman is included which is built with vivid blue and pink colors. Moreover, a cassette is playing inside the music equipment which is the name of the album along with the release date.

Previously, the group released six extended plays over the years, and I Am was the first release in 2018. I Made was released in 2019, and in 2020, I Trust was dropped. The fourth solo album titled I Burn was released in 2021, I Love in 2022 and I Feel was recently released in 2023. 

Who Are (G)I-DLE?

(G)I-DLE is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group currently consists of five members: Soyeon, Miyeon, Minnie, Yuqi, and Shuhua.

Overview

The group originally debuted with six members, including Soojin, but she left the group in August 2021 due to bullying allegations.

Debut and Career

(G)I-DLE debuted on May 2, 2018, with their first mini-album “I Am” and the lead single “LATATA”. They quickly gained popularity for their unique musical style, self-producing abilities (especially leader Soyeon), and powerful performances.The group’s name has multiple meanings, including “individuality,” the plural form of “girl” or “children” in Korean, and a reference to their desire to stay together with fans forever (hence their fandom name “Neverland”).(G)I-DLE is known for breaking stereotypes as a “self-producing” idol group and has been praised for their musicality, versatility, and bold concepts. They have achieved significant success, being acknowledged as one of the top girl groups outside the “big four” entertainment labels in South Korea.
