The same day, the Gangnam Police Department in Seoul concluded their investigation into Choi Min Hwan’s alleged violations of the Sexual Violence Prevention And Victims Protection Act and sexual assault. They announced that no charges would be filed, clearing him of all allegations.
Choi Min Hwan stated, “I believed it was right to share my position only after the police investigation confirmed my innocence. This extended the time it took to address the matter.” He continued, “My ex’s one-sided claims spread as though they were fact, and I worried that speaking too soon would only worsen the situation. More than anything, I needed to resolve this properly for the sake of my three children.”

He repeatedly expressed his remorse, saying, “To the fans and my fellow members, I sincerely apologize. I deeply bow my head in apology for disappointing you with my actions.” Promising to take accountability moving forward, he added, “I am truly reflecting deeply and will strive to show a more mature side of myself.”
The allegations surfaced after Yulhee shared a phone conversation between Choi Min Hwan and his friend on her YouTube channel on October 24th, accusing him of solicitation. She also made claims like, “He stuffed money into my chest” and “touched inappropriate areas in front of family members.”

On November 4th, Yulhee filed a motion at the Seoul Family Court seeking to modify custody arrangements, as well as claims for alimony and division of property.
