Former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Aran, and Sio have found a new agency to call home.
On August 12th, IOK Company announced that it had established a new subsidiary label, MASSIVE E&C, and signed exclusive contracts with three former members of the idol group FIFTY FIFTY. IOK Company is a talent agency that represents famous actors like Jo In Sung, Go Hyun Jung, Shin Hye Sun, Moon Chae Won, Kim Ha Neul and Chae Jong Hyeop.
The former FIFTY FIFTY members will begin their activities as part of a new global idol group under MASSIVE E&C in the second half of this year.
The three members are currently involved in a legal dispute with their former agency, ATTRAKT. FIFTY FIFTY, who gained significant international popularity with “Cupid,” filed an injunction against ATTRAKT in June of last year to suspend their exclusive contracts. However, the court ultimately dismissed the case in August.
Member Keena returned to ATTRAKT in October and resumed activities after the group was reorganized. ATTRAKT subsequently notified the remaining three members of the termination of their contracts.
In addition, ATTRAKT filed a lawsuit on December 18th of last year, seeking 13 billion KRW (approximately 9.5 million USD) in damages against Saena, Sio, Aran, their parents, CEO Ahn Sung Il, Director Baek, and others. The first hearing for this case is scheduled for August 29th.
